I am just beginning the process of TRT and am seeking some advice. Background: I am a 54 year old adult male who has lost 30 pounds in the last year. I did this through work and diet. I discovered the world of "grey" peptides about 4 months ago and have dove into them. I never jumped into Tirz or Reta as I had already lost most of the weight I was hoping to after 2 years of dealing with "frozen shoulder". I mostly did wolverine stacks, and NAD+ for energy. I am adept in all things associated with pinning thy self. Aside from weight loss, I am seeing almost no gains in the weight room, despite real effort. I am a former athlete, and by former, I mean I actually competed in the US Olympic trials for the decathlon 30 years ago. At my best, I was ranked in the top 50 in the world. I could bench almost 400, squat 12 plates, run a mile in 4:20, 100m in 10.5, dunk a basketball like the rim was on the back of a door, and would've run circles around most anybody in Crossfit except the pro levels cats. I basically worked out 30 hours a week for 12 years. Work is not unknown to me, so I know what is required. I am in no way putting in that effort today, but I am certainly doing the cardio and weights to achieve what I want. I am realizing that TRT might be my only path as I am pretty much stuck physiologically.. I am getting blood work done tomorrow as a baseline, so we will see what that is like. Does anyone have some advice for a TRT beginner who simply wants to restore the energy and strength I once had without placing so much stress on my body. Thanks in advance. I promise I have researched this, but have not quite found anyone in my same boat.
What do I want? I do not want to be big, or really gain massive strength, I just want to see some improvements in my energy and strength for my efforts which have been painfully slow.
