Preventing Scar Tissue From Repeated Injections

The application of repeated injections is characteristic of hormone treatment, medical interventions and steroid use. Testosterone Cypionate, Human Growth Hormone, and Insulin are compounds that are frequently administered, such as several times a week. However, in the long run, repeated injections at the same sites may lead to the accumulation of scar tissue. 6- Massage and Increase Blood Flow

A light massage of the area after an injection helps spread the fluid and promote blood flow. Increased blood flow will help the body absorb the compound and can minimise the risk of tissue accumulation in the area.

Circulation may also be promoted by light movement or exercise of the injected muscle. For example, if the injection was made into the shoulder, light arm movement afterwards may help diffuse the solution.

There should, however, be no overstraining or rough massage, as this may only further bother the tissue.

Give Problem Areas Time to Heal

Once you start experiencing a hardened point or a slow-moving lump on you, it is better not to inject it until it is completely healed. In futile attempts to inject into a damaged tissue, the progression of the scar and chances of complications are therefore increased.

The body usually needs to have some rest, and the time out of that site may be a few weeks- even months to help the body to mend itself and more regular tissue structure. Sometimes, warm compresses or mild massage over time can help incorporate the existing scar tissue.

Maintain Good Sterile Practices

Although infection and scar tissue are not similar, it is possible to develop inflammation and abscesses because of poor hygiene in the injection room, which would cause serious scarring.

  • Use new sterile needles and syringes
  • Clean the injection site with alcohol
  • Avoid touching the needle before injection

When Scar Tissue Becomes a Problem

In such cases, changing injection sites or the injection schedule can be effective. Others also switch to subcutaneously administered compounds as directed by medical instructions.
