IFBB Women’s Physique Pro Sandra Lombardo Dies After Cancer Battle
Sandra Lombardo had a stellar career taking to the biggest stages in bodybuilding, such as the Arnold Classic and the Mr Olympia.
IFBB Women's Physique Pro Sandra Lombardo, a person who served as an icon to bodybuilders everywhere, has died after a brave fight against cancer.
In 2012, Lombardo got her IFBB Pro card and soon became one of the top-ranked contestants in the Women's Physique division. Accompanied by her tight waist, incredible V-taper, and always-winning conditioning, she was well known on some of the world's largest stages and hosted several Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia competitions.
Despite being on stage, Lombardo continued to focus on fitness and on motivating others outside the arena. She frequently posted workouts, diet tips, and photos of her body with her fans. There is not much revealed about her cancer diagnosis other than a couple of things; she was a strong woman, and she was determined and positive in the bodybuilding movement.

After hearing the news of Lombardo's death, bodybuilding fans paid respect and spoke about her legacy:

Beyond her passion for bodybuilding, Sandra had a lifelong love of horses. After a courageous battle with cancer, she leaves behind a legacy of resilience and determination that will never be forgotten.”

I mean according to the IFBB and how they act when even an ex Olympian died(Shawn Rhoden) they didn’t do shit. That’s why the Arnold is becoming more prestigious than the Olympia. Pays more also ???”
Recent Losses Continue to Impact the Bodybuilding Community
Lombardo's death follows a trying time in the fitness and bodybuilding community as several prominent names have tragically passed away in the past few months.
Experts in the game have expressed concern as losses mount. Previously, Arnold Schwarzenegger has stated that bodybuilding is one of the more dangerous sports around the world because the athletes are pushed extremely hard. 8-time Mr. Olympia Lee Haney is not happy either, and has shared concerns that the routine of conditioning leaners leaner suggests that the sport may be contributing to younger and younger competitors dying.
Most recently, one fitness trainer, Connor Murphy (32), was discovered dead in a lake in Thailand, and presumed drowned. Also, 2004 Mr. Universe José Antonio "Jocha" Hernández Torres died at age 57 but has not been released official cause of death.
