White sugar is a component of starch. Starch contains fructose, glucose, sucrose, malarose and pectin. These are sources of instant energy but excessive use of these can cause many health problems such as obesity, diabetes, and kidney disease. Diseases which also include liver and dental disorders and a number of other conditions associated with all of these diseases can lead to complex and fatal ailments.

The desire to eat sweets after a meal is probably a natural process. We eat innumerable sweets on every celebration. Had it been understood, the situation might have been taken care of, but our condition is such that without sweets, neither humility is complete nor mood is improved.

Insulin made inside our bodies is then continuously released.

In the old days, diabetics were told to abstain completely from having sugar, but today there are no such restrictions on eating and drinking. Different types of sweeteners are now available in the market.
