Clenbuterol - The Ultimate Fat Burner

What is Clenbuterol?

Clenbuterol, also referred to as "clen," is a medication that acts as a β2-adrenoceptor agonist and bronchodilator. It is largely employed in the treatment of respiratory ailments such as

  • Inflammatory airway disease (IAD) and
  • Recurrent Airway Obstruction (RAO) 

Although it has been authorized for human use in many countries since 1977, the FDA has not approved it in the United States. Clenbuterol has become increasingly popular among bodybuilders due to its potential to burn fat and preserve muscular mass.

Typically, it is ingested orally, although it can also be obtained as a syrup or injection. Clenbuterol is occasionally used with other compounds such as Winstrol, Anavar, or Cytomel (T3) to increase its benefits. However, the impact of its ability to develop muscle in humans is less notable than in animals, suggesting that it offers more anti-catabolic advantages rather than anabolic ones.

Typical Clenbuterol Cycle

Clenbuterol cycles typically last no longer than 4-6 weeks due to the downregulation of beta receptors. A frequently employed method involves alternating between two-week periods of use and non-use to prevent tolerance development. The initial dosages start at 20-40 mcg per day and then escalate to a maximum acceptable dose, often ranging from 120-160 mcg daily.

  • The dosage of clenbuterol varies depending on the purpose of its use.  
  • For example, an individual with asthma may consume two 20-microgram tablets daily. 
  • Patients with more severe respiratory conditions may be prescribed a daily dosage of four 20-mcg pills.
  • Individuals engaged in bodybuilding or those using clenbuterol for the goal of weight loss may consume 6-8 tablets daily, equivalent to 120-160 micrograms.

These doses exceed the therapeutic range typically used in medicine, so more severe side effects can be anticipated. Individuals exhibit varying responses to powerful stimulants; hence, the dosage should be customized based on an individual's sensitivity to the medication.
